In 2015, the EU's Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the European Parliament Panel for the Future of Science and Technology (STOA) launched "Science Meets Parliaments/Regions".

The aim is to build closer links between scientists, science and policy makers/politicians to promote a culture of evidence-informed policymaking.

Science Meets Regions in Denmark 

Central Denmark Region and Aarhus University are hosting one of the 26 Science Meets Regions / Science Meets Parliaments conferences in Europe 2018/2019.  

The conference topic is: Preventing undernutrition in elderly citizens.

The conference will be held in Aarhus 29 October – and work meetings will be held 30 October 2019.

The conference topics - preventig undernutrition in the elderly citizens - will include several related issues, such as the need for development of new foods, individualised nutrition, personal and cultural eating habits, challenges related to motor skills and senses etc.
